Horrific body camera footage shows woman attempting to run over police officer as he opens fire

A woman has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon after she allegedly attempted to run over an police officer in a stolen car.

The released body camera footage showing an officer open fire on an SUV before it violently collided into his cruiser, KTLA 5 reports.

Master Patrol Officer is shown pointing his gun at the oncoming vehicle in the six-second clip and screaming “Stop! Stop!” before discharging his pistol. Police said Stacy fired two rounds at the woman “when it became apparent to the officer of the suspect’s intent.”

Stacy’s efforts did little to stop the woman, as she allegedly continued to speed towards him and rammed into his cruiser. The impact appears to have sent Stacy hurtling to the ground.

Footage captured by the body camera of a separate officer shows the woman popping up through the sunroof and yelling “I’m God.”

Police said they needed to taser the woman in order to take her into custody.

Stacey Ann Bunsey, 41, was charged with suspicion of the possession of a stolen vehicle, assault and battery with a deadly weapon on a police officer, driving under the influence of drugs, eluding a police officer and resisting arrest.

Stacy suffered minor injuries in the incident.
