For anyone who’s forgotten…

The Montreal Canadiens threw down the gauntlet to Jimmy Fallon by challenging the Tonight Show host to accept a friendly wager.

The Canadiens proposed that if the Rangers win the series, the team will put a photo of Fallon as its Twitter avatar for a day.

Fallon retorted that he also wants to see Youppi ride the mechanical bull at Chez Serge.

We have a sad Youppi! this morning, @jimmyfallon, but his jersey is here and he'll wear it on Sunday. #HabsFallonBet http://t.co/yBJkwgjtDQ— #NHL15Subban (@CanadiensMTL) May 30, 2014

[email protected] I will contact you shortly with my demands. Never bet against New York. #GoRangers #StanleyCup #youppionamechanicalbull— jimmy fallon (@jimmyfallon) May 30, 2014

Not to mention…

Just hours after it was announced that Carey Price would be sitting out for the rest of the series because of his collision with New York Rangers’ forward Chris Kreider, New York City’s mayor Bill de Blasio had an interesting offer for Montreal mayor Denis Coderre.

[email protected], I'll bet you a bag of bagels and a Rangers jersey on a New York win. What says Montreal? #RANGERSTOWN http://t.co/i9vg4nVf2L— Bill de Blasio (@BilldeBlasio) May 19, 2014

Of course, Coderre accepted.

Mayor @BilldeBlasio if you accept my part of the friendly wager. Bill you've got yourself a deal :) ) GO HABS GO! #HabsDC—
