The Government of Canada will invest $5 million over three years to strengthen the capacity of the African Union Commission (AUC), as well as to support common priorities in the areas of empowerment of women and girls, good governance, renewable energy, intra-African trade and addressing the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable. The project will also serve as a platform for broader and deeper engagement with both the AUC as well as its member states.
